Johnny Davis and JD Motorsports, Inc. are please to announce that 2006 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, Danny O’Quinn has been signed to drive the number 0
Chevy Monte Carlo for the entire 2009 NNS Series.
O’Quinn said shortly after the signing: “I am excited to be involved with JD Motorsports in a full-time ride. I want my fans and supporters to know that the commitment of Johnny
Davis for the Zero car in 2009 is superb. I feel like I can bring a wealth of experience to this truly independent team.” The 23 years old continued; “I have been blessed with great
opportunities in NASCAR.”
In support of the rich talent of O’Quinn, JD Motorsports, Inc. has stepped-up their entire operation for 2009. “The only thing that hasn’t changed around here is the blank spaces
on the quarter panels” Davis chimed-in. “We’ve got an expanded bunch of dedicated experienced employees, new equipment, a new attitude, and a well-equipped 32,000 sq ft
shop.”
Like everyone else we need marketing partners and sponsors. We feel like with Danny aboard for the year, and all the new and better equipment we have, that we can say to
someone interested in the Nationwide Series that JDM is the place to be. We are going to surprise a lot of people. We are going to race and race hard. A sponsor can get a great
deal by partnering with JDM and Danny O’Quinn!
Danny O’Quinn was the 2006 NNS Rookie of the Year after securing a ride with the Roush organization. He was outstanding in the competitive trials that led to his tenure at Roush.
He had several top 10 finishes as well as one top 5 in what was really a development year at Roush. Lack of funding prevented a breakout year in 07 and the financial upheavals
of 08 resulted in a part-time effort.
